2023 Ram 1500 | Spirit Lake, IA

The 2023 Jeep® Wrangler blends open-air driving with legendary off-road capability. It brings you closer to the outdoors while still delivering excellent people- and cargo-hauling practicality, modern infotainment features, and more.

Iconic open-air design

There’s no vehicle quite like the Jeep® Wrangler. With its iconic open-air design, it makes you feel part of your environment in a way that simply cannot be achieved by traditional vehicles, which can feel overly insular when you’re trying to connect with nature.

The Wrangler is also exceptional customizable when it comes to exterior design. It’s offered with three different types of tops. There’s Sunrider, the standard soft top that customers love for its ease of use; Freedom Top, a removable hardtop cover that can be had in black or body color, giving the Wrangler a more rugged style; and Sky One-Touch Power Top, a high-tech and practical solution that enables you to remove the barrier between you and the open sky with just a single touch of a button.

These tops are all combinable with removable doors and a fold-down windshield, further bringing you closer to the outdoors. You can also equip the Wrangler with half doors, premium LED headlights with signature reflector lamps, fog lamps, and daytime running lamps. With these features and a variety of wheel, tire, and paint options, you can really make your Wrangler stand out in a unique way.

Powerful powertrains

The 2023 Jeep® Wrangler is offered with two engine options: a standard Pentastar® 3.6-liter V6 or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are remarkably similar with regard to power and fuel economy. The V6 is rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque while the turbo-four is rated at 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. On the V6, an optional eTorque mild-hybrid system is available, boosting low-end torque, which you may find useful when crossing rocky terrain.

Regardless of the engine you choose, the Wrangler can tow up to 3,500 pounds, features standard four-wheel drive, and comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, only the V6 is offered with an optional six-speed manual, which gets the best fuel highway fuel economy of the bunch at 25 miles per gallon.[1] The four-cylinder gets the best overall fuel economy with 22 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. Exceptional off-road capability

Being able to get anywhere is what the Jeep® Wrangler is known for. So how does the 2023 model fare in difficult off-road conditions? You’ll be glad to know the latest Wrangler lives up to its legendary reputation and then exceeds it, in no small part because of its innovative and advanced 4x4 systems. The SUV comes with a standard part-time Command-Trac 4x4 system but is offered with a full-time Selec-Trac® 4x4 or Rock-Trac® 4x4 system that provide enhanced traction across a wide variety of terrains.

On models equipped with the automatic transmission, you also benefit from standard Selec-Speed Control, which helps you modulate your speed on steep slopes. Better yet, automatic Wranglers get a 4.88 axle ratio on Rubicon models, delivering a 100:1 crawl ratio that makes quick work of almost any obstacle. Throw in awe-inspiring water-forcing capabilities, ground clearance, approach and departure angles, and the 2023 Wrangler proves to be a peerless outdoor adventurer.

Cabin comfort

For all of its rugged prowess, the 2023 Jeep® Wrangler can be surprisingly comfortable. And despite its open-air design, it still protects you from the outside elements. For example, its standard cabin air filter eliminates 95% of airborne particular matter such as pollen and dust. The Wrangler is available with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, helping you stay warm during even the harshest Iowa winters. It also gets dual-zone automatic climate control, helping you and your occupants stay comfortable without fighting over the temperature dial. And thanks to loads of interior room as innovative features like the Jeep® Utility Grid, Trail Rail system, and removable cargo floor, you’ll find plenty of space for both passengers and cargo.

High-tech features

Even without all of its off-road toys, the 2023 Jeep® Wrangler would be a seriously high-tech machine. At the Sport and Sport S trim levels is a standard 7-inch touch-screen display, which gets upgraded to an 8.4-inch touch screen on the Sahara and Rubicon models. It runs on the Uconnect infotainment system, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot. This hotspot enables up to eight devices to connect to the internet on the go, from up to 50 feet away from the car. That makes the Wrangler the ideal companion not just for getting to a remote camping spot, but for giving everyone mobile Wi-Fi while setting up camp.

Meanwhile, technologies like remote proximity keyless entry and the suite of Uconnect® services, which includes everything from Remote Vehicle Start to Send & Go searching, make living with the Wrangler more convenient. And that’s a good thing — because when you drive a Wrangler, it’s more than just a car. It’s a lifestyle.

The Jeep® Wrangler is one of the most iconic nameplates on the road today, and even decades after it cut its teeth on the battlefields of WWII, it continues to impress by delivering unparalleled off-road capability and ruggedness.
