After a six-year break, Toyota brought back the Venza for the 2021 model year. Its all-new design last year still looks great for 2022. With the Venza, you get a premium interior, a sophisticated exterior design, and plenty of advanced features.

The 2022 Toyota Venza is available in three trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Exterior Design

The Toyota Venza stands out from the competition with its contemporary design. The available projector LED headlights add sharp details to the front end, while a variety of wheel options let you pick what matches your style. The back end features a distinctive taillight design that spans the length of the liftgate. The liftgate comes standard with hands-free functionality.

The available Star Gaze panoramic roof offers a spectacular view of the sky. With the push of a button, the glass roof changes from frost-tinted to clear. This seemingly magical roof uses electrochromic technology to darken and lighten, similar to how transition lenses in glasses work.

Interior Comfort and Features

With high-quality materials and a modern design, the Venza interior feels upscale. The available SoftTex®-trimmed seats feature color contrasted stitching that makes the seats look as good as they feel. The standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat includes lumbar support so you can customize your comfort every time you drive.

Here in Iowa, winters are freezing, and summers are boiling. The available heated and ventilated front seats can keep you feeling comfortable no matter what the weather is like. You can even adjust the interior lighting to match your mood with the available ambient lighting.

The Venza has seating for up to five passengers. It also offers 28.8 cubic feet behind the second row for cargo. When folded, the 60/40-split rear seats expand the cargo area to 55.1 feet.

Technology

The Venza comes well-equipped with convenient technology features. The base LE trim includes an 8-inch touch screen, wireless smartphone charging, four USB ports, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and Amazon Alexa capabilities. The Limited upgrades the technology with a 12.3-inch touch screen, a nine-speaker JBL® sound system, and a digital rearview mirror.

There is an available Advanced Technology package for the Limited trim. This adds a 10-inch color head-up display and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

To help you stay connected to your Venza even when you’re not driving, you can use Remote Connect through the Toyota App. This lets you start the engine, lock and unlock the doors, and even locate your vehicle on a map. This is available with compatible smartphones and smartwatches.

Safety

All Venza models come standard with a rearview camera and eight airbags. In addition, it includes Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0. This suite of active safety features includes the following:

For even more security, the Venza is available with additional safety features. These include a Bird’s Eye View Camera with a Perimeter Scan, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Performance

Unlike previous generations of the Venza, this new model is only available as a hybrid. All models are equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with electric hybrid components. This has a combined output of 219 horsepower. Even with this impressive performance, the Venza still offers class-leading fuel economy with an EPA-estimated 39 mpg combined*.

All Venza models also come standard with all-wheel drive. This advanced system automatically sends power to the rear wheels whenever you need more traction. You can choose from four driving modes to match the driving conditions: EV, Eco, Sport, and Normal.
